Important Safety Information — TRULANCE® (plecanatide)

Indication

TRULANCE is indicated for the treatment of adults with chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) and adults with irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C).

Contraindications

TRULANCE is contraindicated in patients less than 6 years of age due to the risk of serious dehydration. Do not use in patients with known or suspected mechanical gastrointestinal obstruction.

Warnings & Precautions

Diarrhea is the most common adverse reaction. If severe diarrhea occurs, suspend dosing and contact a healthcare provider. Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients under 18 years of age; avoid use in pediatric patients.
