Indication
TRULANCE is indicated for treatment of adults with CIC
Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients under 18 years of age. TRULANCE is contraindicated in patients less than 6 years of age due to risk of serious dehydration.
- Evaluate patients for potential mechanical GI obstruction prior to initiation.
- Discuss the possibility of diarrhea—the most common adverse reaction—and advise when to contact a healthcare professional.
- Reinforce adherence and align expectations on therapy onset and follow-up.
