Overview
How TRULANCE works
TRULANCE activates guanylate cyclase-C receptors in the intestinal epithelium, supporting fluid secretion and motility to help relieve constipation symptoms in adult patients.
- Indications: adult patients with CIC and adult patients with IBS-C
- Most common adverse reaction: diarrhea; severe diarrhea may require dose interruption
- Contraindicated in patients under 6 years of age and in patients with known or suspected mechanical GI obstruction
- Safety and efficacy have not been established in patients under 18 years of age
